Great job to everyone, and thank you for continuing to support our races.
Good luck to all racers going to Columbus this weekend for the Ohio State TT Championships.
Lake Effect TT #1
22 racers showed up last night for the 1st. of 2 Lake Effect 10 mile Allardale Time Trials. This course is always a hard test due to the rolling hills of Medina County, but one that will show where you are in terms of fitness and strength leading up to the Ohio State TT. We had some very fast times and a very nice night for racing. Thanks to all that showed up to race and to all of our Lake Effect volunteers for all the help, everything is much appreciated.
Results are to the right under Rudy's picture.
Nordonia Hills Duathlon
On a hot and steamy Saturday morning Tony and Bill raced in the Nordonia Hills Duathlon put on by HMA Promotions. Tony took 3rd. overall and Bill finished 2nd. in the 40-44 ag. Racing was difficult due to the heat and humidity.
When the reports come in I will update on Mill Creek Crit and Julie's Escape from Alcatraz triathlon in San Francisco.

Garrett Wonders Memorial Crit

Austin Diffenbacher took 2nd overall in the 10-12 age group at Garrett Wonders this weekend. Nice Job.
Mohican 100

Two Lake Effect teammates competed in the Mohican 100. Shawn Adams in the 100 miler and Rudy Sroka in the 100k. Hats off to Shawn for leading Eatough and Landis at the beginning of the race. Sadly, due to cramps, Shawn had to pull out after 50 miles.
In the 100k, Rudy stayed positioned top 10 the whole race and continued his strong pace to the finish. He ended up 7th overall and 1st in the 50+ age division. Nice job guys on a hot and humid day.

Leroy TT #1

Three Lake Effect teammates participated in the first Leroy Time Trial. Matt Weeks, Bill Marut, and Sean Gilbert all did a great job with Matt having the 2nd fastest time on the night. You guys look fast in you Hincapie skinsuits. Photo by Bill.
Westlake #8: Victory!
On a chilly and cold night at Westlake, Rudy made the break of 4 and then sprinted for his 3rd win in three weeks. Sweet! Check out Robert's blog for the video of the finish. Nice job to all A racers including Matt Weeks, Brian Diffanbacher, Mike Vanucci, and Brandt Athey. In the B field, Gwen Davis looked great along with Austin Diffenbacher.
Tour of Atlanta
Brian Diffenbacher took 11th overall at the Tour of Atlanta 30+ race. He raced on seven occacions in five days including crits, sprints, TTs, TTTs, and road races. Former teammate, Jim Cunningham Jr., raced with Brian and won overall in the 30+ division. Nice job guys.
Westlake #7
Team Lake Effect raced well again Tuesday night getting 4 teammates in the race deciding break. Shawn 3rd, Rudy 5th, Derek 6th and Matt 8th. The field sprinted for 9th. and we had the rest of the Team somewhere in top 15. Fast paced with many aggressive attacks and good racing.
Nice job Team!
Westlake #6
Rudy continued his hot streak with two wins in 3 days. Westlake "A" race ended in a high speed sprint where Rudy came out on top, the oldest Westlake winner ever!
Shawn Adams was 5th. Nice job to all Lake Effect members.
Rudy looked so good in the 45+ race, he'd try the 1.2.3 too. Shawn then took 2 primes flying right up the gutter. A good break stuck near halfway with about 10 of the strongest riders except for Paul. So, Shawn Adams got caught on the bell lap. I think 4 still stayed away and Paul bridged. Texas Roadhouse took one and two places going Albers and then PM. Tony also looked very strong after feeling sick this week. Other TLE riders were Pete "the puller" Baughman, Chris, Todd, Brian, Derek, Brandt, and Rudy. Pete got 9th overall and the team hung on strong.
